Snapshot Case Study : MorphCostumes
MorphCostumes – most famously known for the Morphsuit, was set up in 2009 when two brothers and one friend needed a fancy dress idea for an athletics competition. What started as a bit of fun soon turned into a product in demand and a real business opportunity.
Fast forward to 2016 and MorphCostumes have setup a multi channel sales business that employs 30 people and turning over £7.5M. They are selling their products in 4 key areas: Trade/Retail, eBay, Amazon (including FBA) and direct via their Website morphsuits.com. MorphCostumes appointed Volo to be their inventory and order management system and as a trusted software development partner, New Vision were recommended to perform some bespoke integration work with various international 3PL warehouses.
New Vision developed a middleware application that is responsible for routing 100% of MorphCostumes orders to the correct 3PL warehouse in real time 24/7/365. This application is also responsible for keeping Volo up-to-date with order status changes, shipment tracking and returns information.
The team at Morphsuits have access to New Vision’s Integration Monitor software to view all of the middleware activity, in addition to access to a helpdesk during business hours. In the peak month of 2016, New Vision’s middleware transacted 25,000 sales orders.
New Vision built a piece of middleware for our business to link our Volo stock management system to our various warehouses around the world. This involved working with different API systems and different IT teams which James and his team took in their stride providing a delivered project quickly, accurately and with open lines of communication throughout so we knew exactly what functionality would be provided and when. The middleware has been working perfectly since and New Vision have reacted to support queries and requests for additional functionality extremely quickly. We could not recommend highly enough.
